RF Design has announced a distribution agreement for South Africa with MeshNetics, a provider of ZigBee modules and embedded software for OEMs and system integrators. RF Design will now carry MeshNetics' line of ZigBit 802.15.4/ZigBee modules, as well as MeshNetics' Development Kits. The easy-to-integrate ZigBit modules enable OEMs to add wireless connectivity to their products faster by eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming RF development. Target applications include, but are not limited to, building automation, energy efficiency, HVAC control, automated meter reading, predictive maintenance, transportation and asset tracking.
"As wireless sensor networks find applications across a wide spectrum of industries, we have seen a growing demand for our ZigBee modules in the dynamic South African market," said Vasiliy Suvorov, CEO of MeshNetics. "Finding the right distribution partner - one who wields engineering expertise while offering excellent service - is the key to MeshNetics' success in new markets. RF Design perfectly matches the criteria. It is a leading distributor of wireless data communications products, RF and microwave components and sub-systems. They possess the right expertise in commercial applications, and work closely with system integration partners to deliver a complete turnkey solution."
