Harris Corporation's Centrio broadcast multiviewer, available from Concilium Technologies, is designed to assist with communication, intelligence, surveillance and investigation missions for military and government customers. The multi-image processor features advanced graphics and integrated test and measurement tools within an industry proven architecture.
"Centrio is a cost-effective solution for command centres, training facilities and other military operations to access various networks or multiple display monitoring applications," says Concilium's managing director, Steve Alves.
Users are able to fuse different views of the world into one image which can be routed anywhere, making it easier for different organisations to share video analysis. The multiviewer enables users to build a distributed image of data sets which can be shared through one display and distributed to other locations in realtime.
For mission-critical use, the multiviewer has an on-screen control and a built-in rules designer allowing users to view more information and respond to the system more quickly and effectively. The rules designer can be set up to recognise military-based language or other criteria, and then send alerts to various networks. Video analysts can, for example, program the Centrio multiviewer to alert them when motion is detected in a critical video event, then enlarge that image and send out alarms on the multiviewer as well as into a computer network.
The multiviewer has been designed to be available as a standalone platform or as part of a system solution integrated with the Harris Platinum router. It can be connected to many networks and can integrate data from more than 512 video or audio inputs, surveillance cameras and more, into one visual package. When the multiviewer is connected to a network, it can automatically notify users by PDA, cellphone or other mechanisms that an event has occurred.
