Sagem Communications, a member of the multibillion Euro Safran Group based in France, is introducing into the South African market its new range of M2M GPRS and Edge modems.
Sagem has identified the South African market for its rapidly growing development in products utilising GPRS and Edge technologies for machine to machine communications.
Sagem is launching a range of products - including GPRS/Edge modules, Edge modules with embedded GPS and Linux open source programmability - aimed at providing South African developers with compact, reliable and powerful devices.
Sagem believes that three factors will enable it to be competitive in the local market:
* Product reliability, with over 10 million units being deployed worldwide.
* Partner reliability in a fast changing environment by building long term relationships with industry players supported by extended product life, a stable and healthy financial position and a committed team of professionals.
* Support reactivity which strives to give quality support to its partners, right from development through to manufacturing, by providing personalised technical assistance, documentation and qualification support.
