The new AS1358/59/61/62 family of low dropout regulators (LDOs) from austriamicrosystems is optimised to deliver excellent noise performance of less than 9 μVRMS and up to 92 dB PSRR (@ 1 kHz). Operating from a 2 to 5,5 V supply, the LDOs are suitable for dual or triple standard-cell and single Li-Ion battery powered applications, offering a low dropout voltage of 70 mV @ 150 mA and 140 mV @ 300 mA at an extremely low current of only 40 μA during operation and 9 nA during shutdown. The devices offer pre-programmed output voltages in the range from 1,4 to 4,5 V with an output voltage accuracy of 1% @ 300 mA. An additional feature is a power-OK output that signals when the output voltage drops out of regulation. A digitally enabled pin with a turn-on time of 300 μs allows system-level dynamic power management. The devices also offer over-temperature and over-current protection.
