Xpitec to offer RTOS for embedded systems

News
Xpitec has been awarded the official distributorship for QNX Software Systems to serve the growing number of QNX customers in the South African market.
For the developers of embedded systems, increasing system complexity heightens the risk of errors in all stages of embedded development. The increasing pressure to put new products on the market as quickly as possible and the need for unlimited flexibility during software development, require a reliable and scalable framework for building innovative, high-performance realtime embedded systems. QNX Neutrino realtime operating system (RTOS) and the QNX Momentics development suite provide software engineers with the tools to address these demands.
"We are especially excited about the QNX hybrid software model and expect that the new engagement model and transparent development process will increase adoption of QNX Neutrino in the South African market," said Nick Pieters, CEO of Xpitec.
"Our engineers have extensive experience in the development of realtime applications and as part of the QNX Solutions Network we are in an ideal position to offer customers a range of products and expertise targeting the realtime embedded marketplace."
Xpitec is a leading solution provider for application and embedded software in South Africa. Working with members of the defence, industrial and commercial market segments, the company is able to provide software products and engineering services to address all aspects of software development from initial design through life cycle management.
