Power-One has introduced the FBA48T25280 DC-DC converter, providing a 25 A, user-adjustable 16,8 to 32,2 V output. This full brick combines efficiencies exceeding 92% with advanced thermal management techniques to deliver high power densities and reduced current deratings in elevated ambient temperature RF amplifier applications.
The device features remote-differential output-voltage sense and active current sharing which enables load sharing within ±10%. The input voltage range is from 36 to 75 V, and a 7 to 9 V auxiliary output sources 20 mA. Also integrated are an output-good signal, the capability to start-up into pre-biased loads, and an onboard input differential LC-filter. Protections include input under-voltage lockout, output over-voltage and over-current, and over-temperature.
The FBA48T25280 utilises an industry-standard full-brick footprint of 61 x 117 mm and a low profile 12,7 mm height. RoHS lead-free and lead-solder exempted versions are available. All materials meet the UL94, V-0 flammability rating and the devices operate in the temperature range from -40 to 100°C.
