During the Productronica trade fair in Munich during November 2007, Weller exhibited one of its latest product innovations, the WQB 4000SOPS, the new generation of Weller BGA and QFP repair systems.
This new repair and rework station combines a completely new design with state-of-the-art split-optic camera technology to give users high reliability, optimum process control and greater ease of use. The system was engineered to bring together a finely tuned balance of automated technology, for component pick-up and positioning, with a semi-automated rework cycle to open up new possibilities and applications in repair and rework.
The WQB 4000SOPS features a 700 W top heater and either a 400 or 1600 W bottom heater. Compressed air supply comes in the form of 400 to 600 kPa purified, dry compressed air, and temperature control is variable between 50°C and 400°C, with precision of ±10°C.
