New PCB assembly system

Yamaha has released a new PCB assembly system that it says provides almost double the productivity of previous offerings. The YG12 system includes a newly designed pneumatic feeder which provides durable and stable component feeding.

With a front breadth of 1,25 metres, the system is compact, while capable of handling boards as large as 510 x 460 mm and as small as 50 x 50 mm. Maximum feeder capacity is 60 lanes, and the newly designed 10 inline multiheads and recognition system ensure placement capacity of 36 000 components per hour. The system supports tape reels with FS, CL and FV type feeders and provides air supply of up to 0,55 MPa.
