Range of smallest low voltage logic devices, reduce size by 30%

28 February 2001 Electronics Technology

Philips Semiconductors has announced what it says is the industry's smallest range of low voltage PicoGate logic devices, the 74LVC1GXX GW range, which are 30% smaller than any other IC logic package.

"As the smallest low-voltage logic IC package available, the 3,3 V PicoGate 74LVC1GXX GW range demonstrates how Philips Semiconductors' focus on market leading innovation is driving cutting edge solutions for our customers," said Catherine de Villeneuve, Director of Marketing, Logic Products Group, Philips Semiconductors.

The PicoGate 74LVC1GXX GW 3,3 V logic devices are easily designed into dense board layouts, or quickly inserted into systems to facilitate last-minute design modifications, enabling significant cost savings. These single gate devices also simplify routing and eliminate dependence on intricate line-layout patterns. Philips Semiconductors and Texas Instruments have been working together for many years to offer dual sourcing to the market. As the smallest IC logic package, these devices measure one-tenth the size of standard 14-pin SO package.

Philips Semiconductors' low voltage PicoGate 74LVC1GXX GW logic range is available now in SOT353 package, tape and reel packaging.
