Pushbuttons ideal for entertainment equipment

19 March 2008 Switches, Relays & Keypads

EAO has introduced a range of compact switches useful for many applications, aimed specifically at the entertainment and broadcast industry.

Already in some of the world’s top-end audio mixers, the Series 95 pushbuttons are designed specifically for silent operation within studios and broadcast environments. They are now available in three sizes (12,7, 15,88 and 19,05 mm²), offering designers a choice for creating highly responsive and intuitive control panels.

The Series 95 is a multi-element switch, facilitating up to three functions to be performed by one compact pushbutton: normally illuminated in one colour, press the button once and the colour changes, then press again and it changes to a new colour. The unique actuation provides a clear, positive indication of circuit transfer, making them ideal for showing the different operating status of equipment.

The brilliant, full-face illumination of the switches provides excellent visibility – even when viewed from the side – allowing users to see the switch’s status at a glance. EAO supplies the switches in a variety of LED colours and either concave or convex cap styles, while a combination of PCB mountability and short behind-panel depth enables them to be used in compact applications.
