As the USB memory stick has become a common tool to share information, its use has extended to industry and military equipment which integrate USB ports as standard interfaces. At the same time, the capacity of USB memory sticks is continually increasing, so that it becomes ever more critical if they are damaged.
To address such new application environments, Amphenol-Socapex has developed a rugged and sealed metallic USB memory stick with a friendly ¼ turn bayonet coupling.
This new product can be used on any standard USB port. When the cap is fixed on the stick, it can withstand harsh conditions which require IP67 sealing or which need to resist vibrations and shocks.
The ‘USBF key’ series features devices with various capacities from 256 MB to 8 GB and different platings like nickel, olive green and black to suit the application. These memory sticks can withstand temperatures between -40 and +85°C.
