Tyco Electronics has developed several different battery and battery pack connectors with either SMT or DIP contacts.
Spring probe battery connectors: one-piece solution for board-to-board applications, excellent tolerance for vibration and shock, high durability up to 20 000 cycles, customisable height, pitch and normal force.
Lithium cell battery connectors: lightweight, SMT, pick and place capability, housing design saves valuable area on circuit board.
Battery pack connectors: connector system mounted in the casing or on circuit board of the phone, SMT, pick-and-place capability, robust design features tolerate strong side forces, pressure mount saves valuable area on circuit board.
Overcharge control battery connectors: discrete resistor and thermistor for overcharge control, SMT, pick-and-place capability, contact is made directly to pads of circuit boards, thus reducing the overall costs of the connector system.
With proven contact technology, these style of connectors can be designed to meet any customised applications.
