The Major Tech MT897 is a 50 000 count digital multimeter and is specifically designed for the electronics and electrical industries. This multimeter is able to link with a PC via an optical connector and the software operates on Windows, whereby data can be stored for later analysis. The MT897 is auto-ranging with a manual override and can measure AC and DC voltage with a basic accuracy of 0,09%, AC and DC, and current up to 10 A, capacitance to 500 µF, frequency to 5 MHz and resistance to 50 MW.
This DMM includes a min/max record function for recording the minimum and maximum readings over a period of time. The MT897 has a relative mode whereby the reading on the LCD will be stored as a zero-in value.
Other useful features include a continuity buzzer and diode test and data hold. The large LCD display incorporates a high speed 51 segment analogue bargraph. This precision multimeter is designed and manufactured to comply with EN-61010-1 and IEC 1010 CAT III Safety Standards.
