Multicircuit rocker switches

30 April 2008 Enclosures, Racks, Cabinets & Panel Products

J-Series Contura multicircuit rocker switches from Carling Technologies are designed for marine and heavy vehicle applications that require multiple circuits in one switch. The J-Series offers the same features as the other Contura switches, but with more complex circuit options that include hazard warnings, additional lamp configurations, progressive circuits and double-pole progressive circuits.

Available in single or double pole configurations, these switches offer a variety of options including choices for actuator colours, illuminations and symbols. An optional plug-in terminal connector enables pre-wiring of wire harnesses. Actuators may be purchased and stocked separate from the base assembly. Available in several actuator styles, switch appearance can be changed simply by snapping on a new actuator.

With sealed front panel components, the switches are certified to IP66 and IP68, signifying complete protection against dust and prolonged spray and submersion under pressure. They are vibration, shock, thermo-shock, moisture and salt spray resistant, with temperature ratings ranging from -40°C to +85°C.
