Liquid level actuator switch

30 April 2008 Switches, Relays & Keypads

Providing a simple solution to detect when a certain liquid level is reached, Microprecision Electronics has added a floater actuator to its V3 size MP300 switch series.

A floating polypropylene ball of 50 mm diameter is mounted on a stainless steel lever actuator. Designed for a working temperature of 100°C, short term up to 120°C, this solution also has good chemical resistance.

The floater activates a MP320 switch wired as a change-over or a simple normally-open or normally-closed contact. The switch itself is IP67 sealed and has a rating of 250 V a.c. at 6 A under EN61058, with an operating temperature range up to 200°C. The switch can be equipped with PUR, SI or PVC cable of any length.
