LEM has expanded its range of HAZ Series high-current DC current transducers, offering full-scale calibration from 4000 to 20 000 A. Hall effect measurement techniques are employed, providing galvanic isolation of up to 12 kV between the primary and secondary circuit. Advantages include easy mounting and small size, as the full range is designed to accommodate busbars of up to 152 x 42 mm.
Applications include battery supplied applications, UPS, power supplies for welding and telecommunications applications, as well as electro-chemical processes. A wide range of outputs are available, for example, instantaneous bipolar ±10 V, ±20 mA, unipolar true RMS +10 V, +20 mA or the commonly used 4-20 mA.
