Mean Well has expanded its AC-DC green adapter line with the introduction of the miniature GS40 (40 W) and GS60 (60 W) series that comply with the latest Energy Star regulation. The devices are desktop external switchers with a standard IEC320-C14 input connector. In a 125 x 50 x 31,5 mm, UL 94V-0 rated plastic enclosure, they are light and convenient to carry and also fulfil the recovery rate of IT/communication equipment required by WEEE, whereby approximately 92,1% of the unit can be environmentally recovered.
The adapters offer no-load power consumption less than 0,3 W and up to 92,5% efficiency. With 90 to 264 V a.c. full range input and 5 to 48 V d.c. output voltage options, they can be used globally for many kinds of small electronic devices. They have also passed the LPS test and acquired global safety/EMC certificates per TUV, UL, CUL, CB, BSMI, CE, FCC, and CCC.
