Comtest has announced that Fluke's SV225 Stray Voltage Eliminator is now available in single packs. This stray voltage eliminator is an excellent solution for engineers who encounter stray or ghost voltages while testing for live or dead circuits with a high impedance multimeter.
Stray or ghost voltages occur from capacitive coupling which takes place between energised and non-energised, non-connected adjacent wiring. On energised wires, the S225 will indicate the real voltage and on non-energised circuits, the meter will read close to zero, even if there are stray voltages.
The S225 is compatible with all instruments and test leads that accept standard 4 mm, shrouded banana connectors. The nominal resistance is 3000 Ω at 25°C and rated CAT III 1000 V, CAT IV 600 V.
