New from Vishay is a series of platinum SMD flat chip temperature sensors that offer advanced thin film technology in three standard chip sizes - 0603, 0805, and 1206. The devices feature short reaction times of less than 5 s and a temperature range from -55°C up to +155°C. Thanks to a highly controlled platinum thin film manufacturing process, these sensors offer an outstanding stability of temperature characteristic of less than ±0,04%, even in the long term, over a wide temperature range, allowing precise temperature measurements in automotive electronics, industrial electronics, telecommunication systems and medical equipment. Featuring B and 2B tolerance classes, the devices provide a linear temperature characteristic of +3850 ppm/K, and offer resistance values of 100 Ω, 500 Ω and 1 kΩ, with other values available on request.
