Signal generator for 0,7 to 8 GHz

25 June 2008 Test & Measurement

The HMC-T2000 from Hittite is a compact lightweight multipurpose signal generator designed to fulfil basic signal generation needs.

It provides +17 dBm of output power and a usable frequency range of 700 MHz to 8000 MHz. Harmonic performance is less than 40 dBm at 1 GHz and the generated spurious products are less than 42 dBm across the entire frequency band. Phase noise is a respectable -83 dBc/Hz @ 100 kHz offset from 4 GHz with minimal deviation over the temperature range from 0 to +35°C.

One of the most convenient features on this unit is the remote interface. The USB 2.0 port driver as well as the software GUI interface is provided on the accompanying software installation disk and allows the user to remotely control the unit in a quick and seamless manner.

This signal generator is targeted at applications such as general test and measurement, automated test environments and R&D laboratories.
