MEC has released a new evolution of its Navimec directional selection devices with an illuminated version featuring a soft touch finish.
The Navimec line provides joystick functionality, making it possible to navigate up/down/left/right and also have a centre function that will typically be used as an enter key.
The illuminated Navimec is designed for PCB mounting with switches Illumec 4A and 4F offering a very bright illumination and a good tactile feel. Illumec is available in SMD and through hole options, has a 10 million operation life time and sealing exceeding IP67. The keycaps are specifically designed with a hi-tech look and a soft touch finish obtained by elastomer coating.
The illuminated Navimec is ideal for operating directional functions such as navigating through menus in all types of test and measurement, medical, broadcast, professional audio and other professional equipment.
