Central Semiconductor has released the ultra tiny CMASH-4 Schottky diode in the SOD-923 package. This new FEMTOmini device is a high quality 40 V, 200 mA Schottky diode with a forward voltage drop of 0,38 V at 1,0 mA and a switching speed of 5 ns. Designed for applications requiring an energy efficient, fast switching diode in an ultra small package, the device utilises 55% less board space as compared to the SOD-523 package, and has a 48% lower package profile making it ideal for most portable handheld electronic devices such as SMART phones, cellphones, digital cameras, MP3 players, GPS systems, notebook PCs and camcorders. Applications include DC-DC converters, LCD backlighting, camera flash, reverse voltage and current protection, and voltage clamping. This device is available Pb Free and is RoHS compliant.
