Open-frame modular switching power supplies

Astrodyne has announced two new series of miniature, open-frame modular switching power supplies.

In a small mechanical footprint measuring only 5 x 10 x 3 cm, designed to meet the space and performance parameters needed in instrumentation, control and telecommunication systems, the compact ASL40/ASL60 series accepts universal inputs ranging from 85 to 265 V a.c. Both series are available in 11 models which provide single and dual outputs of 5 to 48 V d.c.

The supplies feature an integral power-good LED indicator and output adjustment potentiometer, and operate over an ambient temperature range of 0 to 50°C without forced cooling or output power derating. All models contain over-voltage and short circuit protection circuitry and internal input filtering. They are fully approved to UL60950-1/EN60950-1 safety specifications and medically approved versions are also available.
