American Beauty Soldering Tools has introduced heavy-duty resistance soldering systems for soldering tasks such as large military pin connectors where the solder joint quality must be exceptional.
The Ultra High Heat Plier-Style Resistance Soldering Systems provide instantaneous, localised heat from cold to 538°C in less than one second. Featuring plier-style hand-pieces, the heat is concentrated directly at the solder joint and the footswitch-actuated systems allow 'cold fixture' setup before soldering.
Suitable for soldering large single-wire terminations up to 8,25 mm diameter into terminal lugs, electrical splices and multipin connectors, these soldering systems avoid heat damage to the wire's insulation. Hand pieces are light and are offered in a variety of sizes for confined spaces and special applications.
