C&K Components has developed a new series of ultraminiature, low-profile top actuated tact switches. Designated the KMT series, this switch features a tiny footprint and an extended life cycle of 150 000 operations.
With gold and silver plating options and excellent tactile feel, the switch measures just 2,6 x 3,0 x 0,65 mm, with a 0,45 mm body height, 0,20 mm actuator height and 0,13 mm travel. An integrated actuator for simpler button design yields an excellent tactile ratio of 30% minimum, providing sharp feedback. The switches also have a grounding pin option for ESD protection, as well as actuation force options of 1,6 N (tactile ratio 30%) for mobile devices and 1,0 N (tactile ratio 10%) for hearing aids and headsets.
