In addition to their high CRI, Seoul Semiconductor’s new Top View LEDs have a luminous efficiency of 70 lm/W and a life expectancy that exceeds 50 000 hours.
Incandescent bulbs and halogen lamps have long dominated the interior and display lighting market segments because of their high CRI - in the region of 100. But because of their low luminous efficiency (10 to 15 lm/W), certain governments are in fact planning to ban them in the future, due to their inefficient use of energy.
Seoul's warm white variant (CAWT722-S) has a CRI of 96 and achieves 68 lm/W, while the pure white (CWT722-S) has a CRI of 92 and produces 70 lm/W.
