Tyco Electronics has acquired Axicom, a leading manufacturer and supplier of relays to the telecommunications industry. Axicom has been consolidated with other Tyco relay product lines into a fully integrated global relay organisation within the Tyco Electronics Communications Business Unit.
Axicom is a leader in 4th-generation telecommunication relays. The Axicom IM relay is the first approved telecom-signal relay following the IEC 61811-55 Standard, and is the smallest available 4G relay on the market, claims the manufacturer.
The innovative 10 x 6 x 5,65 mm design allows a slimline and low profile relay in a single design.
The Axicom IM 4th-generation relay extends its existing range of 2nd-generation (MT2, D2n, MT4) and 3rd-generation (FX2, P2, FP2 FT2 and FU2) relay products.
