Ingun has developed its new tip style 38 especially for both OSP contacting, as well as vias with heavy contamination due to solder lacquer deposits. Apart from this it can be used for contacting Ni-Au Pads which have a very thin gold layer.
The 150° angle of the tip ensures that the gold-layer of the Ni-Au Pads is not penetrated and that a reliable contact is achieved by vias with solder lacquer deposits. As in the case of all aggressive Ingun tip-styles, hardened steel is used.
Tip style 38 is available in the standard series 050/075/100.
