Samtec shrinks new PowerStrip

Samtec recently released the newest member of its ruggedised PowerStrip family known as PowerStrip/25 (MPT/MPS Series). It is 20% smaller than the standard industry form factor and is rated at 25 A per contact. The MPT series is available with up to eight power pins on a 5,08 mm pitch in about 6,5 square centimetres, allowing for more circuit board real estate.
Other features include vertical headers for a 14 mm stack height, right angle headers for 90° applications, and optional screwdowns for added ruggedness. The number of contact options includes two, four, six and eight positions. Locking clips are also used to hold the connector in place prior to soldering.
