Meanwell has announced the introduction of 2 W and 3 W miniature regulated single-output DC-DC converters, in the form of the SPA02 and SPB03 series. With single-in-line packaging, these converters are housed in identical plastic packages measuring 22 x 9 x 11 mm, for a volume reduction of 66% compared to the existing 3 W SCW03 series.
The new converters can operate at full load up to 70° ambient temperature, while at 85° they can still provide 50% of total output power. Standard features include 2:1 wide input range, 1000 V d.c. input/output isolation, low ripple noise, CE/FCC compliance, and short circuit/overload protection. Suitable applications include industrial control, telecom/datacom and distributed power architecture related installations.
