Advantech's SPC-520 Series includes the nine-slot, 19" rackmount, industrial grade, PC Server. It accommodates 1 ISA/7 PCI/1 CPU backplane or ATX motherboard. With its 400 W power supply, the SPC-520 enables users to implement a server and RAID subsystem, an all-in-one solution for the industrial grade server market.
The SPC-520 is an ideal combination of a fault-resilient IPC with a RAID solution for data redundancy and mass storage capacity. It provides 10 front-accessible, half- height disk drives for mass storage capacity. RAID disk array subsystems can also be installed. The PC server is supplied with either a 400 W ATX power supply or hot-swap redundant 400 W ATX power supply.
A built-in alarm board enables the PC server to warn users when a failure occurs in the system. The alarm board gathers all failure signals from the cooling fan, power supply, enclosed temperature sensor and RAID system.
These signals are then relayed to the system's RAID controller which displays the system's realtime status to users via LED indicators on its front panel. Three LEDs indicate power status, fan failure and overheating. In addition, alarm notification is sent to a remote host via the GUI RAID manager or the RAID controller's RS232 serial port.
