Phoenix Contact’s VAL-CP-MOSO60 arrester combination is a surge voltage protection solution that is suitable for 60 mm system technology. No tools are required to snap the arrester directly onto the busbar system and thanks to a universal adapter, the product is suitable for all 5 mm and 10 mm busbars regardless of their design.
The arrester combination comprises an adapter for 60 mm busbar technology, a type 2 arrester from Phoenix’s Valvetrab compact product family, and a backup fuse. The backup fuse is a high-performance circuit breaker that is resistant to peak currents. If a fault occurs, the device disconnects the defective arrester safely from the power supply system. Once the defective protective plug has been replaced, the circuit breaker can be switched on again. The backup fuse does not need to be replaced.
Insulation measurements can be taken conveniently during maintenance work. By disconnecting the circuit breaker, the arrester is removed from the test circuit and faulty measurements caused by activation of the arrester are prevented.
