Diamond Systems has developed a new ruggedised PC/104-Plus form factor single board computer (SBC), Pegasus, running the AMD Geode LX800 CPU at 500 MHz.
Pegasus operates without a fan between temperatures of -40°C and +85°C and has 256 MB of onboard soldered SDRAM. It offers I/O features including four USB 2.0 ports, one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface, one RS232 port, one RS232/422/485 port, an Ultra DMA 33 IDE hard drive interface that supports two devices, CompactFlash, VGA/LCD graphics, and PC/104-Plus stackthrough expansion. It also offers a 2 GB IDE Flash disk soldered on the board for highly reliable storage.
Hardwired jumpers and latching connectors are also available for increased resistance to shock and vibration.
