High-performance search accelerators

IDT has extended its family of application-optimised search accelerator solutions with the IDT 75S10000B series, offering high performance, low power, cost effective packet header processing solutions for enhanced table support up to 40 Mbit in enterprise-, metro- and carrier-class switches and routers. The new devices extend search performance to 1,2 billion searches per second. The new series also introduces current surge control, an advanced power management technique that allows the user to minimise voltage droop on the core power supply during a search, enabling improved signal integrity within the customer’s application. The devices implement enhanced error detection and correction (ECC); used to ensure data integrity while providing the most reliable search solution in the market. IDT implements dedicated ECC and parity bits that preserve a true 80-bit data interface.
