The new SE-1500 series from Mean Well is a family of 1500 W general purpose AC-DC enclosed type switching power supplies for low-cost applications.
Featuring 0,48 W/cm³ power density, up to 89% efficiency, and a built-in long-life DC ball bearing fan, the units can provide full output power up to 50°C ambient temperature. Thanks to their non PFC design, the cost of the SE-1500 series has been kept low, making them a suitable choice for applications and territories where power factor correction is not necessary.
The power supplies boast standard features of AC input active inrush current limiting, remote ON/OFF control, remote sense function, and DC OK signal output. Protection functions includes short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature protections. Safety approval per UL and CUL is provided. Suitable application includes general electronic applications, factory automation and moving signs.
