Modular RJ45 connectors

Tyco Electronics has introduced a new modular RJ45 plug-in connector for Fast and Gigabit Ethernet. Designed for transmission rates from 100 Mbps (4-pin) to 1000 Mbps (8-pin), it is suitable for industrial automation and therefore for Ethernet systems such as SafetyNET p.

The plug-in connector is designed with quick-connect technology in accordance with the common core principle, thereby enabling simple, time-saving and yet reliable installation. The common core principle means that the connector core is integrated into a range of housing types. Interfaces with IP20 to IP65/67 protection can be implemented based on this intelligent connector platform.

These connectors can also be used in conventional, Ethernet-based automation and network technology.
