Fujitsu has released the new FTR-K2G power relay, targeting it at appliances that need to disconnect power in a secure way.
The relay has been designed based on the need to comply with IEC 60335-1 for household and similar electrical appliances. IEC 60335-1 has been put in place for the protection against hazards such as electrical, mechanical, thermal, fire and radiation of appliances when operated.
The FTR-K2G has a contact separation of more than 3 mm, which provides a safe power switching between the mains power lines and the equipment, providing full disconnection. The insulation distance between coil and contacts, with a creepage of greater than 8 mm, offers reinforced insulation. The relay features a 1 form A contact and is capable of switching 5000 VA with a maximum switching voltage of 440 V a.c. The relay’s contact has TV8 inrush capability, and the coil voltage ranges from 5 to 100 V d.c. with a dissipation of 1 W.
The relay is UL, CSA and VDE certified.
