Tweezer-style resistance soldering systems

Resistance soldering offers the ability to solve difficult soldering applications with intense, localised heat. Resistance soldering systems convert standard AC line voltage by means of a specially-designed, isolated step down transformer, to a safe, low-voltage, high-amperage, AC output current. When this converted current is passed through the proper type of resistive alloy, intense heat is generated. Because of the intense heat level, soldering applications can be performed where very high levels of heat may be required. Varying the output current, or the type and size of the resistive alloy being used, allows one to control the amount of heat that is being generated.

American Beauty offers a range of tweezer-style resistance soldering systems:

* Model 10501 - light capacity: common applications include micro-miniature setups, wire processing, terminations, small connections.

* Model 10502 - standard capacity: common applications include wire processing, terminations, fibre-optics, standard connections, electrical, electronics work.

* Model 10504 - high capacity: common applications include antenna leads and semi-rigid coaxial cable, connections up to 6,5 mm, heavy gauge wire, terminals, lugs, posts, heavy-duty soldering.

* Model 10599 - micro tweezer: common applications include micro-soldering requirements in limited space, fine AWG wire processing, terminations, very small connections.

To attain more consistently repeatable solder joints American Beauty has introduced a new precision timer module that provides the ability to exactly control the application of the intense heat.
