The Hart Scientific range of products was introduced to Fluke customers during a weeklong visit to South Africa by the product manager for Hart Industrial, Gavin McQuillan.

Hosted by southern African test company, Comtest, McQuillan visited customers in various industries, including process, petro-chemical, food, mining, temperature labs, universities, steel, powerstations, aviation and automotive.
"In addition to promoting the Hart Scientific range, I am in South Africa to conduct product training, do some customer visits and generally get a sense of the local market," McQuillan says. "Although there is a general awareness of the need for routine calibration, more education is required for companies to take calibration seriously and put procedures in place to ensure that it is undertaken exactly according to the calibration intervals required and other factors, which ensure you can safely and reliably use instruments to get the accurate test results you need."
Hart Scientific is a leading supplier of temperature calibration equipment and services a wide variety of industries. During his whistle-stop tour of KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape and Gauteng, McQuillan focused on the Hart Scientific dry well calibrators, thermometers and probes.
Hart Scientific's dry well calibrators provide a reliable heat source to verify accuracy when calibrating industrial temperature sensors such as RTDs, thermocouples, thermistors, bimetal thermometers or liquid-in-glass thermometers. McQuillan explained to customers how to select the appropriate dry-well calibrator that best fit their applications and how to achieve the best possible results.
McQuillan also paved the way with Comtest customers for the pending rebranding of the Hart Scientific range to Fluke. He said, "The Hart range ideally complements Fluke's offering and expands its already considerable target market."
Comtest's product manager, Brendan Campbell, adds, "The incorporation of the Hart Scientific range gives us a wider spectrum of products, enabling us to offer a total solution to our existing customers, while opening the way for an entirely new customer base."
