Rugged 75 W DIN rail power supplies

10 June 2009 Power Electronics / Power Management

MTM Power has designed the DIN rail module series HSA75 with wide AC (90–264 V) and DC (100–353 V) input range as universal compact power supplies for use in rough environmental conditions.

The vacuum encapsulated devices offer advanced protection against dust and humidity and are especially robust against mechanical stresses like shock and vibration. The 75 W modules are available with single outputs of 12, 15, 24, 36 and 48 V. In case of overload and short circuit, they operate in stabilised current mode which ensures startup even under capacitive and inductive loads such as motors. While continuously operating, the modules can also be used as a power source. It is also possible to connect several HSA75s in parallel to achieve higher output power.

As a standard feature, the operational status is indicated by an LED and can be polled at a ‘power good’ output. They comply with protection class II, the Low Voltage Directive as well as the up-to-date EN standards as regards CE conformity. Further features are 100% burn-in test and automatic 100% final test.
