Infineon has rolled out its ‘Green’ and ‘Robust’ solutions for the motor control product families Trilith IC and NovalithIC.
The Trilith ICs are multipurpose, configurable full bridges integrated into a DSO 28 package, while NovalithICs are multipurpose half-bridges integrated into a D²PAK (TO263) package. These product families target all electrical motor drives with continuous load currents from 1 A up to around 40 A and peak currents up to 70 A.
The devices integrate the power stage, driver and protection against over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage and under-voltage. The NovalithIC versions feature status flag diagnostics with analog current sensing, as well as pulse-width modulation (PWM) capability up to 25 kHz, combined with active freewheeling.
Target applications include fuel pumps, electronic parking brakes, HVAC fans, sliding doors, robotics and automation, power tools and vending machines.
