A new multiport line protector designed to offer customers a monolithic solution for protecting multiple twisted pairs from overvoltage conditions is offered by Teccor. Based on a 6-pin SOIC package, the company's multiport line protector is equivalent to four discrete DO-214 or two TO-220 packages. Available in surge current ratings of up to 500 A, the multiport line protector is suited for densely populated, high-speed line cards that cannot tolerate inefficient PCB utilisation or use series power resistors.
