The locally manufactured DEHNguard-T lightning surge arresters from Surge Technology are DIN-rail mounted and can withstand surge currents of up to 40 kA. The pluggable units consist of a base section which, when installed, does not have to be removed. The pluggable top section houses the protection components and is easy to install or remove as no tools are required.
The DEHNguard-T are equipped with both dynamic and thermal visual disconnection mechanisms and provide a fast response. Faults are indicated by a green flag which changes to a red flag on the front panel and its multifunctional terminal allows connection to conductors and busbars.
Typical applications include industrial and commercial installations in all types of 75 to 600 V a.c./d.c. distribution panels and boards.
