Sunrise Telecom's latest advancement to the Ghepardo analyser, the F2S (for frame and file server) is a centralised data management system providing valuable tools for signalling information management.
Based on a powerful modular and flexible architecture, the F2S, a component of the Ghepardo signalling analyser, records all of the transactions collected by the various Ghepardo probes and organises them into one centralised database. The result is a single administration point for data collected from any Ghepardo unit, anywhere within a network. The standard SQL database format creates interoperability with a broad range of database applications.
The collected signalling data includes telephone signal traffic (SS7, GSM, IS41, ISDN and VoIP), detailed statistics about the quality (QoS) and call detail records (CDRs). The F2S also provides network-wide call trace and events correlation between different protocols. Additionally, the F2S supports the new Advice of Charge (AoC) protocols recently implemented in Germany. The AoC service is designed to allow different Telcos, CLECs and ILECs to dynamically exchange information regarding different tariff schedules.
The Ghepardo protocol analyser/server operates in both web-based and server-based environments, allowing up to 32 users to monitor test procedures, share results of four concurrent tests and conduct surveillance simultaneously from each Ghepardo - with each user seeing a different view. It also provides statistics in numeric and graphic form at the MTP2/MTP3 message and traffic level. Any anomalies in the instruments being tested, such as traffic congestion or message loss, are indicated by alarm signals.
