USB 3.0 host software stack

MCCI has made available its USB host software stack for the USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI) host controller. The xHCI specification provides a standardised method for USB 3.0 host controllers to communicate with the USB 3.0 software stack. USB 3.0 will support data rates up to 5 Gbps.
The MCCI host stack provides support for Windows 2000 through Windows 7 on 32- and 64-bit systems. Robustness of the MCCI software stack is measured and assured by MCCI’s proven suite of test tools that support integration into any desired platform.
MCCI is partnering with USB 3.0 IP vendors like Synopsys, who provide a solid development platform as well as a virtual tool software environment which is useful for early product development.
