Passive intermodulation analysers

30 September 2009 Test & Measurement

The newly developed portable passive intermodulation analyser (PIA) from Rosenberger has been designed for measurements of intermodulation products in passive components. The portable PIA can be used for laboratory and manufacturing applications and is suited for outdoor and field measurements, eg, the precise analysis of the RF infrastructure quality and performance of radio base stations. The analyser is delivered in a shock-proof, stable transport case.

These PIAs enable quick and accurate measurements of the intermodulation characteristics of passive components, eg, connectors, cable assemblies, antennas and filters. Rack type analysers – with changeable filter units, operated by a broadband amplifier – are also available as well as Rosenberger site analysers, which are fully installed in rugged, waterproof cases and are tailor-made for measurements on site. All analysers are available for the following frequency bands: LTE 700, AMPS 800, EGSM 900, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, TD-SCDMA 2000, UMTS 2100, UMTS II/LTE/BRS-EBS and WiMAX.
