New 75 V MOSFET family
14 October 2009
Power Electronics / Power Management
The new ‘OptiMOS 3’ 75 V family of MOSFETs from Infineon features low on-state resistances and good switching performance. The low on-state resistance of this small SMD package with current capability of 50 A DC saves board space and ensures enhanced switching behaviour and high efficiency levels.
The IPP 023NE7N3 G delivers RDS(ON) of 2,1 mΩ and a thermal resistance of 0,5 K/W. The BSC 092NE7NS3 G comes in the SuperSO8 package and delivers an RDS(ON) of 3,7 m, enabling highly efficient solutions.
The electrical properties of these devices make them a good choice for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. Although the technology is optimised for synchronous rectification, other applications such as high-current motor control applications and fast-switching DC-DC converters or class D audio amplifiers can also benefit from the high efficiency levels and low space requirements.
