128 x 32 LED graphics displays

14 October 2009 Opto-Electronics

Vishay has announced two new 128 x 32 LED graphics displays with drive electronics and a +5 V HC CMOS-level video interface. Designed as replacements for the popular APD-128G032 plasma display module, the new LED displays offer designers a choice of bright red (LEE-128G032B) or neon orange (LEE-128G032-1) colours offering high brightness and enhanced viewing characteristics in a slim package.

The new LEE-128G032x displays are said to have four to five times the life of a plasma display, reducing maintenance and replacement costs. With a 323,85 x 80,01 mm viewing area, they are optimised for low- to medium-level information content and are suited for applications such as pinball machines and other arcade games, slot and gaming machines, process control, POS terminals, medical equipment, message centres and automatic teller machines (ATMs).

Featuring a low 19 mm profile, the LEE-128G032x displays have large 16,51 x 11,43 mm characters for long-distance readability, offer a high contrast ratio of >30:1, and provide a viewing angle of >150°.
