6,5" TFT LCD display

14 October 2009 Opto-Electronics

Hitachi has introduced a new 6,5” VGA TFT display featuring an active matrix, transmissive TFT LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels (VGA). A low-power white LED backlight is used to provide a high brightness of 600 cd/m², with a lifetime of 70 000 hours. The TX17D01VM2CAA delivers enhanced optical performance in many operating conditions and environments while the LED backlight delivers reduced power consumption, ease of control and long lifetime.

The display module has dimensions of 153 x 118 x 9 and an industry standard

18-bit RGB CMOS interface providing support for up to 262 K colours. These two key features enable the TX17D01VM2CAA to offer mechanical and electrical compatibility with other industry standard 6,5” VGA display modules. It also supports a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. A touch panel version of the display will also be available to support a wide range of embedded industrial systems, instrumentation, security and process control applications.
