Dual-channel audio op-amp

Texas Instruments has introduced a dual-channel, bipolar-input audio operational amplifier. The OPA1612, from TI’s Burr-Brown Audio line, offers designers low noise and low distortion, resulting in clear, crisp sound. The amplifier supports multiple channels without significant power consumption in applications such as professional audio and broadcast studio equipment, microphone pre-amplifiers, analog and digital mixing consoles, high-end A/V receivers and audio test and measurement equipment. The bipolar input achieves very low 1,1 nVHz noise density with distortion of 0,000015% at 1 kHz. The rail-to-rail output swing to within 600 mV with a 2 Ω load increases headroom and maximises dynamic range. The IC operates from ±2,25 V to ±18 V from only 3,6 mA of supply current per channel.
